The purpose of the AASLH Governance Committee is to develop and provide the resources needed to help AASLH identify, recruit, educate, cultivate, utilize, and monitor the leadership needed to create a high functioning national organization that models best practices for its members and the field. The Governance Committee will focus on but will not be limited to developing effective leadership for Board governance; furthering Council education, training, and orientation; monitoring Council composition; and evaluating Council performance.
