Priorities include the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS), charitable giving, elementary and secondary education, National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), and the National Science Foundation (NSF). AAM and AASLH cooperate on other advocacy issues throughout the year as they arise.
History Relevance Campaign
The History Relevance Campaign (HRC) is a group serving as a catalyst for discovering, demonstrating, and promulgating the value of history for individuals, communities, and the nation. AASLH supports the HRC in many ways, is one of nearly 90 organizations that have endorsed its “Value of History” statement, helps circulate its messages, and is working to integrate HRC ideas into AASLH programs. We encourage you to get involved, endorse the values statement and integrate it into your work, join an HRC task force, and join HRC on LinkedIn.
